The World’s Richest 1% control almost 50% of world’s wealth! Isn’t it shocking? Let’s go further. The richest 8 people have wealth equal to something like 3.8+ billion of the world’s poorest. 80% of the world’s wealth is owned by 20% of the people and 80% of the people have just 20% of the world’s wealth! From March 2016 – March 2017, World’s billionaires’ net worth increased by $762 billion (in just one year)! In year 2016-17, 82% of new wealth created went to richest 1% people while world’s poorest got 0% only and the saga of inequality continues. The world is getting more unequal day-by-day!
